Terms of Purchase & App License

Last updated: July 12, 2026

These Terms explain what is included when a customer buys a customized, finished mobile app from OwnAnApp, how delivery works, and what each side is responsible for.

Standard App Purchase

A standard OwnAnApp purchase includes one customized app, Android and iOS versions where both platforms are shown as supported, finished Android and iOS app packages, one standard Store Launch Kit, one included revision round, AdMob capability built into the app, and twelve months of correction coverage for genuine defects that existed in the delivered app.

OwnAnApp may deliver Android and iOS at different times, depending on signing requirements, account access, technical readiness, customer information, or other platform-specific needs.

Customer Freedom

After delivery, the customer may continue using, publishing, distributing, monetizing, selling, or transferring the delivered app without an ongoing OwnAnApp fee.

The app may be distributed through any lawful channel, including app stores, alternative stores, direct installation, or the customer's own website.

Any future work performed by OwnAnApp, including additional customization, new branded versions, new builds, new exports, new features, maintenance, compatibility work, support projects, or store submissions, is optional and quoted separately unless expressly included in the order.

Store Launch Kit

Every standard app includes one basic Store Launch Kit containing:

  • App icon
  • One standard set of store screenshots
  • Feature graphic or equivalent basic promotional graphic where required
  • Suggested app title
  • Short store description
  • Full store description
  • Basic store-facing text

Additional languages, additional screenshot sets, major rewrites, custom campaigns, or broader marketing work are separate services.

Without Store Upload Assist, the customer still receives the completed Android and iOS packages and the Store Launch Kit so they can submit the app themselves.

Store Upload Assist

Store Upload Assist is a separate paid service, purchased per app, and is not included automatically with a standard app purchase.

It covers:

  • Preparing the store submission
  • Working inside the customer's developer account
  • Creating or configuring the app listing
  • Uploading the relevant build and Store Launch Kit
  • Entering metadata
  • Completing relevant store forms using information supplied by the customer
  • Configuring the initial release
  • One initial submission attempt
  • Reasonable correction and resubmission when OwnAnApp's own build or submission error caused the rejection

Store Upload Assist does not guarantee approval by Google Play, Apple, or another store.

Once substantive work on Store Upload Assist begins, its fee is non-refundable. If OwnAnApp's own error causes a rejection, OwnAnApp will correct that error and resubmit without charging another Store Upload Assist fee.

Repeated submissions caused by customer account problems, customer content, missing customer information, policy violations, or later store-rule changes may be quoted separately.

AdMob

AdMob capability is built into every app, but the customer chooses whether ads are activated.

OwnAnApp will deliver the app with active customer AdMob configuration only when:

  • The customer supplies valid required AdMob information, or
  • The customer purchases AdMob Setup Assist

If the customer selects ads but does not provide valid AdMob details and does not purchase AdMob Setup Assist, the app will be delivered with ads disabled.

Customer Accounts and Outside Costs

The customer is responsible for providing and maintaining any Google Play, Apple Developer, AdMob, or other accounts required for their app.

The customer is responsible for paying any outside costs needed for their app, such as app-store accounts, hosting, domains, certificates, or other third-party services.

Customers may remove OwnAnApp's developer-account or AdMob access after the purchased setup or upload service is complete.

OwnAnApp may pause work if payment is overdue or if an unpaid outside cost prevents the work from continuing. Work resumes after the issue is resolved, based on current availability.

Delivery Timing

Delivery dates are estimates. Timing may vary because each order involves custom configuration, production, export, testing, signing, account requirements, customer-specific work, current workload, and available capacity.

An exact deadline is guaranteed only when OwnAnApp expressly confirms it in writing.

The estimated delivery period begins only after:

  • Payment is complete
  • The customer has supplied the required information
  • Required app choices have been completed
  • Required materials have been provided
  • Necessary approvals or account access have been supplied

Customer-caused delays pause the estimate. If a required customer response is not received for 30 days, OwnAnApp may place the order on hold. Work may later resume based on current availability.

Delivery Definition

Without Store Upload Assist, delivery occurs when the completed Android and iOS packages and Store Launch Kit are made available to the customer.

With Store Upload Assist, delivery occurs when the initial store submission is completed.

Included Revision

Each standard app includes one revision round. The revision request must:

  • Be submitted within 30 days after delivery of the first build
  • Be supplied as one consolidated list
  • Clearly describe the requested adjustments
  • Remain within the originally agreed app configuration

The included revision covers small adjustments and corrections. It does not include new features, a major redesign, a different app concept, additional versions, or substantial new work.

The customer is responsible for testing the first build and describing requested changes or reported defects clearly enough for OwnAnApp to understand and reproduce them.

Genuine Defects

OwnAnApp will correct genuine technical defects that existed in the delivered app without additional charge for 12 months after final delivery.

This does not include:

  • New features
  • Redesign requests
  • Customer modifications
  • Later Android or iOS changes
  • New app-store requirements
  • SDK or third-party service changes
  • Certificate or account-maintenance issues
  • New compatibility work that was not required by the delivered version

Later updates and compatibility services are optional paid services.

Cancellation and Refunds

Before substantive customer-specific work begins, the customer may cancel and receive a refund, minus payment-processing charges that cannot be recovered. Merely reviewing or administratively checking an order does not count as substantive work.

Substantive work includes activities such as:

  • Configuring or modifying the app
  • Creating customer-specific assets
  • Preparing an export
  • Beginning a purchased setup service
  • Beginning customer-specific store work

After substantive work begins, payment is non-refundable unless OwnAnApp is unable to deliver the purchased service.

If work must stop because an order cannot reasonably be delivered lawfully, safely, or in accordance with applicable app-store requirements, payment for substantive work already completed is not refundable. Any clearly unused amount may be refunded at OwnAnApp's discretion.

Customer-Provided Materials

Customers retain ownership of names, logos, text, images, graphics, music, trademarks, and other materials they provide.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have permission and legal rights to use the materials they provide, including if the completed app is later sold or transferred.

Assets supplied by OwnAnApp may remain part of the delivered app and may continue with that app if it is sold or transferred.

Portfolio and Demonstrations

A customer-specific completed app, customer name, brand, or customer-provided materials may only be featured in OwnAnApp marketing with the customer's explicit permission.

OwnAnApp remains free to create and display separate demonstration versions using its own app foundations, configurations, branding, and assets.

Customer Authority

By placing an order, the customer confirms that they are allowed to make the purchase for themselves or for the business they represent.

Results and Third-Party Services

OwnAnApp does not guarantee:

  • Store approval
  • Downloads
  • Rankings
  • Revenue
  • AdMob earnings
  • Customer acquisition
  • Commercial success

Google Play, Apple, AdMob, Stripe, hosting companies, and other third-party services may change, reject, suspend, restrict, interrupt, or discontinue their services outside OwnAnApp's control.

Liability and Problems

To the extent permitted by law, OwnAnApp's total liability relating to an order is limited to the amount the customer paid for that specific order.

If a problem arises, both sides should first try to resolve it directly and reasonably before taking formal action.

OwnAnApp serves customers internationally. These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, while any mandatory rights that apply in the customer's country remain unaffected.

Terms Updates

OwnAnApp may update the Terms for future purchases. The version accepted when an order was placed continues to govern that order unless both sides agree otherwise or a change is required by law.

Contact

Customers may contact OwnAnApp at hello@ownanapp.co regarding their order, revisions, defect reports, cancellations, support, or legal and privacy questions.
